V-score signatures for cellular state changes

V-score transitions for transitions between cellular states in hematopoiesis, and between healthy and diseased tissue from B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia and breast cancer. The v-score is an estimate of the difference in the log-normalized count means between the two populations, normalized by the square root of the sum of the variances of the log-transformed counts in each condition.
