The goal of this project is genome sequncing and transcritpion analysis of the carnicorous plant Nepenthes x ventrata (Caryophyllales: Nepenthaceae), a natural hybrid between N. alata and N. ventricosa. Plants of the genus Nepenthes uses passive pitcher-shaped traps to catch small insects.
