RNA-Seq analysis of Aspergillus oryzae RIB40 wild-type and a strain overexpressing the candidate omega-3 desaturase gene AO090010000714

In Aspergillus oryzae, overexpression of the candidate omega-3 desaturase gene AO090010000714 enabled the production of alpha-linolenic acid. This study provides RNA-Seq data obtained from the wild-type A. oryzae RIB40 strain and a strain overexpressing AO090010000714, both cultured in starch-based Czapek-Dox medium for 96 hours. These data not only enable comparison of AO090010000714 expression levels between the overexpression strain and the wild type, but also provide gene expression profiles of metabolic pathways involved in lipid biosynthesis during alpha-linolenic acid production. This dataset is expected to serve as a valuable resource for future research and for the genetic engineering of lipid biosynthetic pathways in A. oryzae.
