Streptomyce luteoverticillatus CGMCC 15060, capable to produce carbazomycin B, was isolated from ocean sediments and was shown to inhibit plant pathogens fungi. This study reported the whole genome information of S. luteoverticillatus CGMCC 15060 for the first time, providing reference information for in-depth understanding of the secondary metabolic synthesis pathway of S. luteoverticillatus, and providing reference data for solving the studies on the evolution, classification and identification of Streptomyces genera, which is of great significance for future studies on Streptomyces luteoverticillatus. In addition, a further deep analysis of the biosynthesis mechanism of the antimicrobial compounds (including carbazolomycin B) isolated from this strain should be further understood to improve their productivity.
