Seasonal bacterial dynamics on wetland macrophyte phyllosphere

Study undertaken to study the effects of rain and seasonality on the phyllosphere bacterial community of the wetland macrophyte broadleaf cattail (Typha latifolia). Samples collected across an entire year, specifically targeting days before and one, three, and five days after rain events. These data demonstrate the relative importance of both short-term (rain as a physical disturbance) and long-term (seasonal shifts and leaf senescence) environmental perturbations on the foliar bacterial community.
