A mechanistic basis for genetic assimilation in natural fly populations

Whole-genome sequencing in inbred (D907) and outbred (Mix) fly populations from lines selected for the ectopic veins trait under genetic assimilation (assimilated) or direct artificial selection under normal conditions (non-assimilated), unselected (control) and ancestral (P0) fly populations. Evolve and resequence assays by performing whole-genome sequencing (WGS) of pools of individuals (Pool-seq) from D907 and Mix fly lines. Pool-seq assay by performing whole-genome sequencing (WGS) of pools of individuals from D208 inbred fly line.
