Straw waste contains vast amounts of exploitable energy on which various biodegradation strategies efficient in terms of biomass can be used, attracting global interest. The development of efficient degradation strains is crucial for the development of clean energy and industrial cellulose production. In this study, a cellulose-degrading strain Bacillus velezensis SSF6 was screened using a carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) selection medium, its cellulolytic potential was determined using the DNS method, and its entire genome was sequenced using three-generation Pacbio Sequel and two-generation Illumina Novaseq platforms.
