Opinion on Bill C-18 in Canada 2023, by age group

When asked about their opinions of Bill C-18, the majority of Canadians (66 percent) felt that news should be free and accessible. This applied to adults of all ages, although younger consumers were the least likely to support Bill C-18. With consumers now used to free news access via social media, being unable to access it this way on Facebook and Instagram has led some consumers to look elsewhere.
