A price survey conducted at supermarkets in Kagoshima City revealed that the average price of 1 kilogram of lemons in December 2016 was 881 yen. The price of 1 kilogram of lemons in Kagoshima City was 86 yen higher than the national average. During the period from January 2015 to December 2016 (the past 24 months), the highest price for lemons at supermarkets within Kagoshima City was 1,032 yen in October 2015, while the lowest price was 764 yen in March 2015. The price difference between the peak and trough periods for lemons in the Kagoshima City area, with the peak being October 2015 and the trough being March 2015, was 86 yen.
