Only the U.S. Congress can designate Wilderness. The Service establishes Proposed Wilderness administratively. The primary source for this information is the USFWS Wilderness program.</span></p><p style='margin-bottom:1.5rem; margin-top:0px;'><span style='font-family:inherit; font-size:medium;'><font style='font-family:inherit;'>Data can also be downloaded from ServCat, the FWS Catalog.
