资源简介:
The fill from two hearths at Sites 48SU1424 and 48SU1442 in the Green River
Basin, Wyoming, were examined for macrofloral remains. Site 48SU1424 is believed
to represent a prehistoric activity area associated with lithic procurement and
reduction activities, while 48SU1442 appears to have been a large activity area
associated with butchering practices. Artifacts and a radiocarbon date of 210
+ 50 BP from 48SU1442 suggest a Late Prehistoric/Protohistoric Shoshonean
occupation. The entire fill (19 liters) of Feature 25-A at Site 48SU1442 was
collected, floated, and examined, and 85% (23 liters) of Feature 1 fill at Site
48SU1424 was collected, floated, and examined. Macrofloral analysis is used to
provide information concerning plants utilized at these sites.
