Replication data for "The role of DNA methylation and ZBTB transcription factors in sex differentiation and maintenance in zebrafish"

This dataset was used in the publication “The role of DNA methylation and ZBTB transcription factors in sex differentiation and maintenance in zebrafish” by Pierron et al.. This dataset presents the results of DNA methylation and transcription analyses carried out in gonads of juvenile and adult zebrafish (AB strain) raised at 27, 30 and 33°C. Analyses were carried out at 21, 25, 35, 46, 100 and 156-day post-fertilization. DNA methylation level was analyzed by bisulfite-pyrosequencing using the PyroMark Q48 instrument (Qiagen). Gene expression was analyzed by RT-qPCR by means of a Lightcycler 480 (Roche) and the gene eef1a1a as control. Data curation: at 21 and 25 dpf, the expression level of some genes was very low. Genes presenting a Ct value above 39 were not considered and corresponding data were omitted (missing data).
