Experiments were conducted to study the suitable parameters for a modified chisel
plough, which can be used as attached part with primary or secondary tillage machines. The main
parameters used in this study were different implement forward speeds, types of shares, number of
shanks and entrance angle. The experiments showed that the best parameters of manufacturing chisel
unit was by using 4 tines, pointed share and 30° degree of entrance angle to obtain the best value of
soil penetration resistance and good percentage less than 10 cm.
