BIS Household Credit is a database maintained by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) that records credit data of non-financial sectors across more than 40 economies worldwide, encompassing lending and borrowing activities of both government and private non-financial sectors. The quarterly dataset offers an average coverage span of 20 years for the government sector and over 45 years for the private non-financial sector, and adheres to the framework of the System of National Accounts. This dataset serves as a critical reference for research on global credit trends and financial stability.
