Per-run LAMMPS logs for discrete-element simulations of granular temperature in dense granular flow
收藏资源简介:
Per-run LAMMPS log files from 3282 discrete-element simulations of sheared disks and spheres under a Langevin thermostat, used to measure how the effective friction of a dense granular flow depends on its granular temperature at a fixed inertial number, in two and three dimensions. The archive contains 9408 log files in 45 directories, holding the per-run time series from which the tables in the accompanying repository are built. It includes every set of runs made for the project, among them exploratory and superseded ones. The simulations analysed in the paper are a subset, occupying eighteen of those directories and listed by name in the repository's manifest. Unpacking the archive inside the `src/` directory of the repository restores the layout the analysis scripts expect and reproduces the figures of the associated paper. Not included: the per-run trajectory and per-contact dump files, several hundred gigabytes, which are needed only to regenerate these logs by re-running the simulations. They are available from the author on request. The analysis code, LAMMPS input files, run scripts, derived data tables and the pre-registered analysis plan are in the accompanying repository. Version 1.1.0 adds the shear-rate scans repeated at one tenth, ten times and a hundred times the baseline contact stiffness in two dimensions and at ten times in three, a fourth and slower shear rate at the two softest stiffnesses, and a set of runs that record every contact as it breaks, which test whether the dependence of the friction on shear rate reflects the inertial number or the ratio of contact time to shear time.
