资源简介:
Streptococcus parauberis is a coccoid, nonmotile, alpha-hemolytic, Gram-positive bacterium of the Streptococcaceae family, and is known to be a causative agent of mastitis in cows. The bacterium was first identified as a fish pathogen in 1993 in cultured turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) in Spain. Recently, it has become one of the most important pathogens of cultured olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) in western Japan. We isolated S. parauberis strain SK-417 in 2013 from the brain of brown rockfish (Sebastes ventricosus). We analyze the whole genome sequence of S. parauberis strain SK-417. The draft genome sequence is annotated and is compared to that of S. parauberis strain KCTC11980 which is isolated from diseased olive founder (GenBank accession number BANN01000000) for characterizing our isolated strain.
