The Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin (ICPRB) Library
contains 4750 entries, including a variety of data on the Potomac
River and its tributaries in Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia,
Pennsylvania. The impact of the Potomac River on the Chesapeake Bay is
one of the areas highlighted. Data includes the history of the
hydrology, hydrography, plant life in the river, fish, crustaceans,
insects, waterfowl, and other animal species. Data on floods, water
flow, fish catches, and sedimentation goes back to the nineteenth
century. The contents of the library are computer indexed.
