XMM scan of the Galactic center Lobe: magnetic field and outflows

We recently discovered warm plasma having considerable extent in Galacticlatitude, rising from the Galactic plane at the locations of the Radio Arc andof the Sgr C thread and showing a sharp edge that correlates with the locationof the radio/midIR Galactic Center Lobe (GCL). We seek to investigate theorigin and energetic associated to this plasma. It might be associated to alarge scale inhomogeneous atmosphere present over the entire central molecularzone, related to continuous or episodic outflows of mass and energy from the GCregion. This would imply a large power to energise it. Alternatively, it couldbe, magnetically confined, warm Xray emitting plasma filling the smaller scaleGCL.
