Imaging complete ostrich limb bone to hierarchically map medullary bone tissue

The aim of this project is to image the complete limb bone material from an ostrich with known egg laying life history to map the deposition and structure of medullary tissue at multiple resolutions, from an isotropic voxel size of 20 microns until 2microns, the latter of which is sufficient to investigate the bone tissue microstructures. This is important for inferring medullary bone tissue development in fossil theropods, the lineage that includes avians and T-rex.
