<i>Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani</i>(C. C. Gmelin) Pallais a typical macrophyte in diverse wetland ecosystems. This species holds great potential in decontamination applications and carbon sequestration. We present the first chromosome-level genome assembly for this species.
