资源简介:
The study analyzed the relationship between Conflict and Facilitation between family role and work role, and quality of life of occupationally active parents. The analysis covered various measures of quality of life in work and family domains: satisfaction with work and marriage, work and marital distress, as well as the global quality of life - life satisfaction and distress. The study covered 151 females and 151 males from dual-career families. The role conflict was associated with negative effects, both in the domain which was the source of difficulties , and the domain that was affected by it. The global quality of life was also adversely affected by the role conflict. Facilitation showedpositive effects only with respect to the quality of life in this domain that facilitated role performance in another domain, as well as to the global quality of life. The results were interpreted in the light of Conservation of Resources (COR) theory, the source attribution theory, social exchange theory, and norms of reciprocity. peerReviewed publishedVersion
