NRS-10231 | Accounting officer's receipt books [Rothbury State Operated Colliery]

These are the carbon copies of receipts issued for various payments made during State operation of the Rothbury Colliery. Payments receipted include canteen takings, police messing dues, fares, conveyance of workmen charges, telephone calls, unclaimed wages, and those made from expenses advance accounts for stores supplied ex colliery stocks. Also included are receipts relating to the purchase of second hand stores and materials (mainly bedding) towards the end of the occupation.
