Latin America: defense expenditure 2024, by country

Brazil had the highest defense budget in Latin America as of 2024, totaling approximately 24.75 billion U.S. dollars. Venezuela followed closely, with 24.12 billion. The Portuguese speaking country had also the highest number of military aircraft that year.
