Extremotolerant fungal comparative genomics

This is a comprehensive projects conducted by the University of Ljubujana and BGI-Research. The overall project aims to sequence, assemble, and annotate genomes of most culturable extramotolerant fungal genomes, starting from 2017.The first phase of this project focuses on salt tolerant fungi. These fungi were isolated in various high salty conditions, where previously believed not suitable for the growing of fungi.
