A longitudinal clinical and prescription dataset of hypertensive osteoporotic fracture patients

This Figshare repository contains a de-identified longitudinal clinical dataset of hospitalized patients with osteoporotic fractures and hypertension. The dataset is organized into three relational Microsoft Excel files. The <b>Clinical Variables Table</b> (<i>Clinical Variables Table.xlsx</i>) includes patient-level demographic characteristics, fracture information, comorbidities, laboratory measurements, osteoporosis-related treatments, blood pressure data, and longitudinal outcomes such as all-cause mortality and refracture events. The <b>Medication Table</b> (<i>Medication Table.xlsx</i>) provides detailed longitudinal records of antihypertensive prescriptions, including drug class, prescription date, dosage, and care setting, enabling assessment of medication exposure over time. In addition, a <b>Variable Definition Table</b> (<i>Variable Definition Table.xlsx</i>) is provided as a comprehensive data dictionary documenting variable names, definitions, units, and coding schemes to facilitate data interpretation and reuse.The dataset is deposited under an embargo of ten years and is shared under controlled access due to the potential risk of re-identification associated with the combination of clinical variables, longitudinal follow-up information, and the geographically localized study population. The authors strongly support data sharing and are committed to making the dataset available for legitimate scientific research.
