Water level data for Arboleda Stream at La Selva Research Station, Costa Rica Stream water level (m) was measured in Arboleda stream, a tributary of the Sura, in the stilling pool behind a 120° sharp-crested V-notch weir. Water level was recorded every 15 min with an Enviro-Systems shaft encoder (pulley–float–counterweight mechanism) connected to a Campbell Scientific datalogger (Genereux et al. 2005). This system does not require correction for atmospheric pressure. A secondary system was added to the weir in 2018. Two pressure transducers (Onset HOBO U20L-04) one submerged to record water pressure and the other placed above the water surface to correct for atmospheric pressure.
