Qualitative Coding Dataset and Codebook for Design Panel Analysis of Problem Framing, Innovation Reasoning, and GenAI Collaboration in Student Design Processes
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the materials used for the qualitative analysis of design panels in a study on student design processes involving generative AI. It includes both the final codebook and the cleaned coding dataset used to compute inter-coder reliability. The coding framework is structured around four analytical dimensions: problem framing, innovation reasoning, GenAI collaboration, and communication and design coherence. Each dimension is operationalized through a set of deductively defined codes. The dataset was produced through an iterative coding process involving two independent coders. Inter-coder reliability was assessed using Krippendorff’s Alpha, with an initial value of α = 0.69 (72% agreement), which improved to α = 0.76 (78.79% agreement) after a calibration and refinement phase of the codebook. This record includes: The final codebook defining all analytical dimensions and codes The cleaned coding dataset used for reliability analysis The resource is intended to support transparency, reproducibility, and secondary analysis in design education, human-computer interaction, and research on human-AI collaboration.
