"The CelebA-HQ dataset is a high-quality image collection developed by NVIDIA, serving as a superior alternative to the original CelebA dataset. It consists of exactly 30,000 celebrity face images, each standardized to a high resolution of 1024 \u00d7 1024 pixels. These images were meticulously selected from the larger CelebA dataset and processed using progressive growing of GANs to enhance visual fidelity. The dataset is widely recognized in the computer vision community for tasks such as face synthesis, super-resolution, and attribute editing, offering significant improvements in texture detail and background clarity compared to lower-resolution predecessors.
