Data for 'Genetic structure of populations after landslides is shaped by rill erosion and influences intraspecific interactions'
收藏资源简介:
This dataset was generated for the in-press manuscript entitled “Genetic structure and the influence of neighbor genetic similarity in shaping seedling growth after disturbance”. This study focused on newly colonized seedlings of Abies sachalinensis (hereafter referred to as Abies) during the first growing season at three geographically proximate artificial landslide sites. We examined how increased environmental heterogeneity following landslides shapes the genetic structure of populations, and how the resulting genetic context among neighboring individuals mediates intraspecific interactions. Data was collected from three forest landslide areas. Abies, as an early-successional species, colonized post-landslide sites and established populations. In the first year after landslides (2022), we established plots within the site, recorded the spatial coordinates and monitored the performance (i.e. growth) of newly recruited Abies seedlings. In addition, intact leaves from the seedlings were sampled for genotype sequencing. Abies_sachalinensis_MIG-seq_data_raw_reads.zip: Raw demultiplexed paired-end reads (fastq) obtained for 292 seedling samples of Abies sachalinensis. These raw reads used for de novo assembry and SNP call by ipyrad and downstream analysis. ALES2_OpenData.rar: Data on the genetic diversity of Abies populations, as well as individual-level information including spatial coordinates, growth rates, and spatial and genetic distances between the nearest pairs of neighboring seedlings. Further details are provided in the documentation included within the .rar archive. All data files and associated descriptions have been anonymized for double-blind peer review. Please refer to Version 3 (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18471779) as the final version.
