We investigated the functional role of METTL9 during neural differentiation and the early consequences of its loss by employing 1) an inducible degron system (dTAG), allowing both endogenous protein tagging and rapid, reversible depletion of Mettl9; 2) constitutive genetic deletion of Mettl9 (K.O.); 3) genomic point-mutation to construct biallelic catalytically inactive Mettl9 loci.
