Responses of primary AML cells to atorvastatin and simvastatin

Both, the statin sensitive and resistant AML specimens up-regulate in response to statins expression of genes in mevalonate pathway, but only the resistant cells also respond with activated transcription of MTORC1 pathway genes. Atorvastatin and simvastatin responses of five statin sensitive and five statin resistant specimens were analyzed. For each specimen, 0.1% DMSO (vehicle control) was used as a negative control.
