RNA-seq of rhizomed nodes and internodes of wild Panax japonicus var.major

In this study, we have performed de novo transcriptome sequencing for wild Panax japonicus var. major to characterize the profile of gene expression in the two parts of rhizomes, nodes and internodes. The comparative analysis of different parts of rhizome will provide valuable gene resources for the further investigation on functional genes involved in the synthesis of ginsenosides in P. japonicus var. major.
