The goal of the work was to analyze the transcriptional changes, specially defense-related, induced by a Saccharomyces cerevisiae-based fermentation product in Glycine max Williams 82 inoculated or not with Phakopsora pachyrhizi, the causal agent of Asian soybean rust (ASR). Given that P. pachyrhizi populations are becoming increasingly resistant to traditional chemical fungicides, the study of potential resistance inducers may provide alternatives to ASR control.
