Molecular epidemiology of mcr-1 and mcr-3 plasmids from a pig farm in Great Britain over the course of 5 months

This work focuses on gaining a better understanding of the molecular epidemiology of mcr Enterobacteriaceae and mcr plasmids from a pig farm in Great Britain by characterising selected isolates by whole genome sequencing. Isolates from pig faeces were collected over the course of five months (September 2015 to January 2016) resulting a in a total of 54 mcr-1 positive isolates of which 7 were also mcr-3 positive.
