Comparison of bronchial epithelial cells obtained by bronchoscopy from mild asthma patients, moderate asthma patients, severe asthma patients and healthy controls

In this study we explore the underlying differences in bronchial epithelial cells from asthma patinets compared to healthy controls. In addition we also explore the differential gene expression of severe asthma patients compared to mild and moderate asthma patients to determine if there are genes that lead to severity of the disease Bronchoscopy was performed in healthy controls (n=16), mild asthma patients (n=17), moderate asthma patients (n=5) and severe asthma patients (n=17) to obtain bronhial epithelial cells and were directly subjected to RNA sequencing
