Gut Dysbiosis in Older Adults with HIV (PLWH): Is it Just HIV?

The objetive of this study is explore the gut dysbiosis in older PWH compared to non-HIV controls and to assess its possible link with frailty. Our study shows the association of gut dysbiosis in older adults with HIV compared to healthy controls. No differences between microbiome composition when comparing frail PWH. Ours is the first study in which depression and gut dysbiosis have been linked in HIV population.
