Mass conserving quartic-spline and linear interpolation techniques over variable width partitions

This dataset includes a technical document describing a method of interpolation that conserves partition integrals or mass when partitions are not uniform in width. We used this method to interpolate profile measurements from Measurements Of Pollution In The Troposphere (MOPITT) onto a smoother grid. Also included is code written in Python 3 that will perform the interpolation.
