We conducted this study to isolate the microalga Nannochloropsis salina, which accumulates a high concentration of the omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid EPA, from domestic seawater. Additionally, we aimed to secure a strain with excellent biomass and EPA productivity on low-cost substrates to evaluate its commercial viability.
