This dataset provides the locations and thicknesses of soil layers from the Toolik Lake region, Alaska, collected from 2018-2019. Samples were taken from up to three soil layers under vegetation covers of tussock tundra, heath, sedge, and water tracks. Field descriptions of sample locations are provided, along with field measurements of soil active layer (thaw) depth, and soil layer thicknesses.
