The microbial composition of chronic periodontitis in shallow, medium, and deep periodontal pockets

This study aimed to analyze differences in relative abundance of subgingival plaque microbiota at different PD levels (PD<=3mm, 4-5mm, 6-9mm) between healthy individuals and patients with chronic periodontitis using 16S rRNA gene sequencing, aiming to establish a more comprehensive microbial network and provide new insights for future clinical research on periodontitis.
