资源简介:
The project aimed to compare the bacterial community structures in three different Brown Planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens) populations. The insect populations included an avirulent population feeding on a susceptible rice variety (TN1), a virulent population reared on a resistant rice variety (PTB 33), and a population reared on a moderately resistant rice variety (X21301-96) on fourth generation using high-throughput amplicon sequencing. We predict that the gut bacterial composition of BPH may vary among different populations based on the resistant or susceptible plant genotypes. The microbiota harbored in the insect gut can regulate its adaptation depending on the host plant. Moreover, the host plants themselves can influence the insect microbial community structure.
