This dataset contains 1D and 2D NMR spectral information on two novel diterpenes from Acacia nilotica. Compound 1 was identified as 16, 19-dihydroxycassa-12-en-15-one and given the trivial name Sandynone, 1 and its chemical shifts compared very well with similar compounds (Mendoza et al 2003). The relative stereochemistry was determined using its NOESY (Supplementary material 7). Compound 2 was identified as the seco-oxacassane, (5S, 7R, 8R, 9R, 10S, 13Z, 17S)-7,8:7,17:16,17-triepoxy-7,8-seco-cassa-13-ene (Niloticane B) and confirmed by literature reports (Manriquez-Torres et al, 2013). Interestingly Manriquez-Torres et al (2013) reported on a dimer of compound 2, however, there was no mass higher than the molecular ion in its HR-EIMS spectrum and no mass fragment which could suggest the our compound (Compound 2) being dimeric. <br>
