The objective of this study is to characterise the bacterial communities present in the sediments of tributaries of a river under the effect of climate change, which is of economic, social and cultural relevance in the "Norte Chico de Chile". Changes in bacterial taxonomy and diversity patterns will allow the creation of indicator and monitoring tools for rivers with these characteristics.
