Post-Quantum X.509 Certificate Format Samples

This dataset accompanies the paper “Towards Minimal Certificates for Federated Space Public Key Infrastructure.”It contains a collection of X.509 certificate samples generated solely for the purpose of size comparison: Pure Certificate – baseline certificate using a single classical or post-quantum algorithm. Hybrid Composite Certificate – combines multiple keys and signatures within a composite structure. Hybrid with Extension Certificate (“Catalyst”) – embeds auxiliary key material through a dedicated extension. Hybrid Chameleon Certificate – embeds differences between the classical and post-quantum certificates within an extension in the former. Hybrid Bound Certificate – establishes a cryptographic binding between classical and post-quantum key pairs. All certificates are synthetic test samples and not intended for operational or security use.
