资源简介:
Grid of general circulation models (GCMs) of a set of hot Jupiters produced with the RM-GCM, used for the paper "Radiatively Active Clouds and Magnetic Effects Explored in a Grid of Hot Jupiter GCMs" (Kennedy et al. 2024). Full descriptions of the model setup can be found in the paper. Files are the final 3-D structure of the atmosphere, labeled by the temperature, cloud prescription, and magnetic drag prescription used. Files are named according to {T_irr}K_{n/c/m/e}cld_{y/n}mag.txt, where T_irr is the zero-albedo irradiation temperature of the planet, cloud content is designated by (n)one, (c)ompact, (m)oderately-extended, or (e)xtended, and the presence of magnetic drag is specified by (y)es or (n)o.
Within each file, the first 7 columns are: latitude (deg), longitude (deg), layer index, layer average pressure (bar), local pressure (bar), temperature (K), W-E velocity u(m/s), and S-N velocity v (m/s). Outputs of cloudy models have 8 more columns, corresponding to the layer cloud optical depth / Q_ext (see eqn. 2 of Roman et al. 2021) for each modeled species (KCl, Cr, SiO2, Mg2SiO4, VO, CaSiO4, CaTiO3, Al2O3).
