资源简介:
The data and code to replicate Figures and Tables in "The unequal impact of the coronavirus pandemic: Evidence from seventeen developing countries" are presented below. To protect the privacy of participants, we are not able to make subnational geographic identifiers publicly available. In the analysis in the paper, we use these identifiers in regressions as fixed effects and clustering variables. In the replication code that we will submit, we show the regressions used in the paper as well as replacement regressions using country identifiers fixed effects and clustering variables that have consistent results. The study also uses population data from publicly available sources to weight observations and to calculate coverage of the survey sample as a share of population. Information on where to download the population data is shown in a table in the Supplemental Appendix. The population weights are included in the dataset for replication. Codes to create the population weights and sample shares are included. Household survey data is used to validate our sample and create weights to increase representativeness. We used pre-harmonized versions of these household surveys that are not publicly assessible, but we include information on where to download the publicly assessible household survey data, which would allow the user to harmonize the surveys themselves.
