To elucidate the mechanism of C. tyrobutyricum tolerance to high concentrations of phenolic compounds, the comprehensive transcriptional analysis was used to determine gene expression changes in C. tyrobutyricum ATCC 25755 under the stress of p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, syringaldehyde, vanillin, and a mixture of these four substances, respectively.
