The newly established myocyte cell line (called AgMM) from neonate male larvae of the African malaria mosquito Anopheles gambiae, and for comparison, a female-like Sua5.1 hemocyte cell line were harvested in triplicate for RNA extraction using Trizol, and processed to generate sequencing libraries. The TruSeq library preparation protocol (Illumina) was followed by 150 bp paired-end sequencing NovaSeq 6000 sequencing system (Illumina) to obtain approximately 80 million reads for each of the replicates.
