资源简介:
Composed of an assembly of figures created during the 1880s and also called The Soul Detaching itself from Matter or The Sun and the Moon , The Earth and the Moon represents two bodies barely emerging from an imposing block of marble. The surfaces, worked in contrasts, make it possible to pass from smooth and polished bodies to roughly pruned stone thanks to the transition areas worked in the step. The original plaster identifies the two figures of this sculpture. On the one hand, the Andromède , a first version of La Danaïde , whose folded legs seem to want to extract themselves completely from the block. On the other, Fatigue , a figure representing a reclining nude appearing asleep. Both from La Porte de l'Enfer , they each also gave rise to a marble version.
