This dataset is spatially distributed remote sensing image classification and delineation data for forest vegetation types in Chongqing Municipality from 2013 to 2017. It is derived from the China Forest Vegetation Survey Project of the Research Institute of Forest Resources Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry. The project was developed based on partial historical vegetation distribution maps, forest distribution maps, 2012 TM data, 1990s TM data, field sample plot survey data and other relevant materials, and was processed strictly in accordance with the relevant regulations of *Specification for Forest Vegetation Classification, Survey and Mapping* (2019). The data is in vector format, with attribute fields such as forest order subgroup, forest order and forest series group. The scale of this dataset is 1:100,000. This dataset provides data support and services for forest resource surveys, planning and design and other related works.
